Our Story

DiFabio’s was founded in 2005 as a small take-out and pick-up catering shop at our original Providence Road location. With just three parking spaces and roughly 1,000 square feet of workspace, we brought the family-style food traditions of South and West Philadelphia to Delaware County.

Soon after opening, DiFabio’s expanded into in-home and corporate catering, offering full staffing and event management services—an area of the business that continues to thrive today.

In 2016, DiFabio’s moved just up the street to our current home on Providence Road in Media, PA. Now known as DiFabio’s Market & Tap, the space features an expanded market, in-house bakery, dining room, cooking demonstration kitchen (The Culinaria), multiple tap rooms, and seven distinctive event spaces designed for unforgettable celebrations.

In 2018, DiFabio’s announced an exclusive partnership at the former Masonic Lodge in Springfield, PA, now known as Spring Valley.

Completely renovated into a stylish, modern venue, Spring Valley offers two event spaces accommodating 200 and 100 guests, making it an ideal setting to enjoy DiFabio’s cuisine and attentive service.

The growth continued in 2024 with the addition of Sky Bar, a one-of-a-kind Italian retro-inspired space featuring an elevated wine list, craft cocktails, live entertainment, and an adults-only atmosphere. That same year, The Culinaria was introduced as a cooking demonstration kitchen showcasing DiFabio’s chefs alongside local purveyors. Both spaces are available for private events.

While much has changed over more than twenty years, our dedication to exceptional food and warm, attentive service remains the same. At DiFabio’s, we value our customers and our community, and giving back has always been a core principle guiding our growth.
